Our commitment to memory care goes deep. With years of experience and a commitment to care, Monarch Gardens is the right place for your loved ones. Not to mention beautiful Brookings, Oregon has the right community, climate and staff to suit your needs.
Dear Residents, family, and Staff,
I am so excited to be part of your community. I wanted to tell you a little about myself.
I have been married to my husband for 21 years and we have 5 children (his, mine, and our). The oldest is 27 and our youngest is 16. We have 5 grandchildren with one more on the way ranging from the ages 3 months to 8 years old.
I do a lot of gardening and I have to many hobbies, all crafts. I love to read books when I have nothing else to do which if very rare. I love to cook and bake for large groups and family functions. I love animals, I have 5 dogs and 2 cats as well as chickens.
I have worked in health care for 15 years but have been a caregiver my whole life. I was the oldest of 4 children on my moms’ side and my sister had Cerebral Palsy and I grew up taking care of her and my 2 younger brothers.
I started my career when I was 27 working as a caregiver in a memory care community. I worked as a caregiver for 6 months then moved on to be a medication aide. Within 3 months after that I moved on to be floor supervisor and trained all new staff. And then within 3 years became the executive Director of the community where I worked for 3 additional years.
I am honored to be able to serve our seniors. I am always available and if you have any questions or concerns, I will be happy to answer them, if I do not have an answer I will be happy to find one for you.
Why Make Monarch Gardens Home?

We take joy in what we do.
